Over the past few days, I’ve been spending more time working on my second site, www.brilliantbrown.com. Aaron’s been cranking out articles like a madman and there’s much discussion over the controversial subject matter he’s chosen to write about. I’d definitely recommend that everyone go check it out and contribute to the discussion.
I’ve worked through a redesign (that still needs work IMHO), written a few original articles, reposted a number of articles from this blog, and I’ve started integrating a forum/bulletinboard into the site. Also, I’ve been toying around with whether or we’d be requiring users to register in order to comment… after all, they’d have to register to use the forum anyway.
There’s a delicate balance between requiring enough effort that spammers and trolls are discouraged, but not too much so as to discourage casual users with positive input. We (Aaron and I) will be toying around with the idea over the next few days and making a decision/announcement on brilliantbrown over the next few days.
