This list was originally published as a note on my Facebook page. I enjoyed writing it so much that I decided to republish it here on my personal blog. Enjoy:

1. I live in California, and I love it. You’d think that wouldn’t have to be the first on my list, but because I do such a horrible job of keeping up with people, this may be news to you.
2. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. I worked very hard to get out of “Disgusta,” but now I get a bit homesick and nostalgic.
3. All of my “real friends” are from Augusta. With the exception of my favorite person ever, who is from Lorain, OH. You know who you are!
4. I was expelled from two elementary schools. On second thought, let’s not go there.
5. I spend 10+ hours a day in front of a computer screen. About half of that time is work and the other half is play.
6. I prefer movies to television. I feel like most movies have an ending and can stand on their own, but a TV show must be watched regularly to be understood. I’m not ready for that level of commitment. The same goes for graphic novels vs. monthly comics.
7. I live with a crazy cat named Jerry. And yes, he has a facebook page and an email address.
8. I’m a little embarrassed to tell people what I do. I find that there’s no real way to say I review cars and car accessories for CNET without sounding like a douche. This leads us to my next point…
9. I pride myself on being humble. It’s oxymoronic, I know. But I don’t really like to brag or boast about myself or my achievements. I’d rather enjoy being underestimated and prefer to shine through my deeds than my words. This has worked to my disadvantage on more than one occasion, but it’s who I am.
10. I’m fascinated by swords. I was a member of the Georgia Southern Fencing Club for my first two years of college. I’m thinking about getting back into fencing or maybe Kendo… not because I enjoy fighting, but because I enjoy competing.
11. I’ve never lost a fight. Well, at least not a fair fight. I did get jumped once in middle school, but that was sort of punk assed.
12. Celebrity crush: Rosario Dawson. I think she’s hot and a bit nerdy. What more could a guy like me want?
13. Graphic Design has changed the way I see the world. I can’t look at websites or anything printed without performing a little mental critique of its design. If I judge it lacking, I can’t take the content seriously.
14. I’m a grammar snob. People who can’t spell or speak at least close to proper English are promptly ignored.
15. I didn’t know that I was black until Kindergarten. Up until then, my grandmother had me convinced that I was… I guess something else.
16. Pet peeve. The next person who says that I talk like a white person it getting punched in the mouth. I’m sorry in advance, but I have to do it.
17. I love driving. I can’t stress “LOVE” enough. I don’t even care what I’m driving or where I’m going. As long as I’m behind the wheel, I’m happy.
18. “I like to singa. About the moona in the Juna in the Springa.” Singing is my hidden talent that I don’t like to really talk about.
19. I’m a creature of habit and I hate it. I often find myself falling into routines of going to the same places every day or eating the same meal at the same restaurant ever day for a week straight. Sometimes, I’ll start driving somewhere, get distracted, and end up at work. My biggest fear is that one day I won’t be able to snap out of it and become as a robot.
20. I’m a social sponge. If I hang out with someone long enough, I begin to pick up their mannerisms and speech patterns, so I’m extra careful with choosing my friends.
21. I hate to hear myself talk. This sucks, because I record an audio podcast every week. Does anyone know how to rid oneself of a slight lisp?
22. Pet peeve 2. Unless we’re related or dating, I will not fix your computer. I will not look at your car. However, I may be convinced to tell you what may be wrong and how to fix it yourself.
23. I listen to NPR every day. Specifically, This American Life and Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, but I also get my local and national news on Public Radio.
24. I am a pretty good dancer. However, even fewer people have seen me dance than have heard me sing. Although, I do miss my Swingcats.
25. I’m obsessed with Optimus Prime. As a child, I cried when Prime died in Transformers: The Movie. I also have a small collection of Optimus Prime action figures, which I add to each month.
